About Us

Ethel Mae Shop was created in memory of Ethel Mae Frieson. She was a mother, a grandmother and a loving wife. We choose sustainable items because we believe this encompasses everything she was as a person. She was an honest, precious resource that brought harmony amongst us and sustained a balance between the past and the future.

Did you know that there is between 4.8 and 12.7 million tons of plastic entering the ocean each year. The U.S. bought 5.8 billion tampons, and over the course of a lifetime, a single menstruator will use somewhere between 5 and 15 thousand pads and tampons, the vast majority of which will wind up in landfills as plastic waste. And, an estimated 18 billion diapers are thrown into landfills every year. This why we sell every day reusable items to limit the waste we are creating. One less diaper, pad, or plastic bag can change millions, into thousands and hopefully into zero waste.

Ethel Mae Shop is helping all of us find that balance with the environment and its inhabitants. Less waste for our children and ourselves, will create a cleaner environment to help combat climate change. One step at a time, no matter how small the contribution.
